Pengertian Tenses
Tenses adalah bentuk kata
kerja dalam bahasa Inggris yang perubahannya tergantung pada waktu dan sifat
kejadian tertentu pada suatu kontek kalimat.
Rumus tenses :
1. Simple past tense

kalimat :

Simple
present tense

(?) = Do/Does +S + V1 + Object Every

3. Simple
Future Tense
Time Signal :

= S + will +
V1
Tomorrow(-) = S + will + Not + V1 Next
(?) = Will + S + V1 Tonight
Contoh
kalimat :

Mira will buy a new bag tomorrow. (-) Mira won't buy a new bag tomorrow.
(?) Will Mira buy a new bag tomorrow?
4. Past continuous tense
Time Signal :

= S + to be (Was/Were) + V- ing +
Object When(-) = S + Was/Were + Not + V-ing + Object While
(?) = Was/Were + S + V-ing + Object
Contoh
kalimat :

He was sleeping when I came. (-) He was not sleeping when I came.
(?) Was he sleeping when I came ?
5. Present continuous
tense
Time Signal :

= S + to be + V-
ing
This week, This year(-) = S + to be + Not + V- ing Now
(?) = To be + S + V- ing At this time
Contoh
kalimat :
(+) They are writing a new comic.
(-) They aren't writing a new comic.
(?) Are they writing a new comic?
6. Future continuous tense
Time
Signal :

Tomorrow(-) = S + will + Not + be + V1-ing At this time
(?) = Will + S + be + V-ing Next week
Contoh
kalimat :
(+) I will be reading a magazine tomorrow.
(-) I will not be reading a magazine

7. Past perfect
tense
